Eagle projects have helped our charter organization, local schools, churches and various charitable organizations.
Scouting Events
Our 2020 summer camp trip took the Troop to Hohn Scout Camp on Lake of the Ozarks near Laurie Missouri. Our high adventure crew this year traveled for a week in Arkansas participating in water sports, a 1-mile long zip line course, caving, hiking, canoeing and searching for diamonds. Our monthly camping events include hiking, canoeing, wilderness survival, rifle, shotgun and archery events, district camping events and advancement weekends. Summer of 2021 will find the Troop traveling to Beulah Colorado for merit badge camp and the high adventure crew will be traveling to Salmon River Idaho and Yellowstone National Park.
Merit Badges
Merit badges give scouts the opportunity to investigate around 120 different areas of knowledge and skills from Business to Woodworking. The merit badge program is a major part of scouting advancement that can begin as soon as a scout registers with a troop. The only limitations to this program are a scout’s ambition and availability of adult counselors to instruct.
